My first "opening sequences" were created on spectrum zx, when i was 8, for a pretend tv channel.
Every 15 days, my father and I created a new 'broadcast', with interviews, music videos, opening sequences and advertising!
And the day after we made the all familly watch it!

When I was 12, I've received my first computer and instead of playing games like every other kid...
I 'played' with Corel Draw and Poser.

But although video and digital arts were a huge part of my adolescent life I still wanted to be an architect.
So I went to an architecture course... and six months later, I decided to switch to a Cinema & Multimedia Course.
And there i discovered my passion for 3d, motion design and animation.

My first job, was as a 3d artist in a portuguese games studio. And I met my husband there!

Meanwhile, i've also discovered that creating is my big passion, doesn't matter what i create and that I've always something on
my mind, I'm like a box of ideas racing at 200 km per hour. So, in 2008, i've started my own project: a design/craft studio called
atelier maria papoila. where i have, in my spare time, the freedom to create.

And since 2009, i'm working as a freelancer.
