Joan Baldarrama
An entrepreneur in the aerospace industry, Joan Baldarrama cofounded the Lucix Corporation, a world leader in airborne and ground systems, and in satellites for commercial and military use. As the Vice President of Administration for Lucix, Joan Baldarrama oversees the company’s human resources department, manages its facilities, and hosts guests who come to visit the aerospace contractor’s 44,000 square foot headquarters in Camarillo, California. The Lucix Corporation creates a variety of products for space and military applications, including local oscillator assemblies and frequency synthesizers, up and down frequency converters, low noise amplifiers, and power monitors. Known as the glue that holds her company together, Ms. Baldarrama helped Lucix gross over $35 million in 2010. In addition to her duties as Vice President, Joan Baldarrama sits on the company's Board of Directors and acts as the Director of the Lucix Workforce Investment Board. Away from the office, Joan Baldarrama enjoys shooting firearms at the Camarillo Gun Club and hiking the many trails available in Southern California. She also enjoys camping and takes two to three trips a year to her favorite spot in the Piute Mountains, a range located in the Mojave Desert and known for its strong color contrast and texture.
