I teach piano the way an architect thinks about space — with structure, intention, and a deep curiosity about how people experience the world.

Trained at the Conservatoire Maurice Ravel (Certificat de Fin d'Études Musicales, mention Bien à l'unanimité), I also hold a degree from the École Professionnelle Supérieure d'Architecture de Paris and a Master's in Sciences of Languages — with a research thesis on music as a tool for language teaching. A growing passion for neurosciences now deepens this foundation: I'm constantly exploring how the brain builds, memorises, and expresses music.

Before Singapore, I worked in New York as an interior architect at Young Huh Interior Design and David Yum Architects (AIA Award winner), then founded Les Sonatines in NYC (2008), London (2012), and Bishan, Singapore (2015) — in a custom double-height studio with a natural acoustic piano.

My students range from 3-year-old toddlers to seniors. I teach beginners through advanced levels, in French and English, with a specially trained approach for neurodivergent learners — ADHD, dyslexia, synesthesia, autism, high potential. I also create Les Sonatinettes, an original method book for the very youngest students.

For adults passionate about French culture, I offer Les Phonatines — specialist French conversation at B2+ level, centred on art, music, literature and cinema. Available online, on request.

Outside the studio: I explore wine through a WSET-trained sensory lens, sketch the rhythm of cities, and volunteer in food rescue. The same curiosity runs through all of it — how do humans experience and make meaning of the world?

My motto: see the big picture by thinking outside the box
