{Architect, Piano teacher, French teacher}

After graduating from the Superior Architecture School of Paris and successfully achieving the Paris Department Competition in Piano with Unanimity Honours, I left for New York and worked at David Yum Architects where our team won the American Institute of Architects Award for a Californian winery project. I then worked several years at Young Huh Interior Design as an Interior Architect Designer, immersing myself into Young's eclectic chic style through projects such as restaurants, residential buildings and private houses.

While art and design are my passions, my vocation is teaching. I am, what we call, a natural. I know how to share my knowledge, adapt the educational contents to my students' needs, and offer even more: self-confidence, autonomy and appreciation of the subject.

In piano, my students range from 3 year-old toddlers to adults. The levels taught start from beginner to advanced. The aim is to keep progressing at each student's own pace and engage with them so that they can enjoy themselves playing the piano. I consider that teachers must also keep on learning to excel in their field, therefore I attend a piano master class every year with my mentor and former professor who I have known for more than 20 years, and have been learning the cello with cellist-concertist Frédérique Legrand.

Most of my students learning French are teachers themselves, which is an undoubtful recognition of my work. I manage individuals in private lessons, small groups and online classes. I always exploit the exercises through different aspects to make the most of them. I give rewarding challenging tasks, and teach in a very cheerful and patient way. The aim is to stop being self-conscious of the mistakes and just be able to communicate in French and enjoy the interaction.

Now that I have completed my Master Degree in Sciences of Languages with a thesis analyzing the relationships between teaching music and teaching a new language, and how we can actually use music in teaching French (intonation, pronunciation, memorization...), today I am focusing on creating a music manual "Les Sonatinettes"for the youngest that would give them all the basics of music and piano in a playful and rewarding way.

My motto: see the big picture by thinking outside the box
