Joanie Springer

Award-winning artist and internationally collected, Joanie Springer is most well-known for her expressive paintings of faces - sometimes whimsical, unusually soulful, and always contemporary. Using gouache and ink, luscious oils, and keeping it "green" are important. Joanie uses nontoxic art materials and often paints on upcycled cardboard or even junk mail. A longtime entrepreneur, Joanie carves out hours each day to paint, and plans on leaving this planet (someday!) with a paint brush or two in her hand. Oh yeah, she started painting at age 54.
