Born in Barcelona in 1972, I am a photographer, graphic editor, and cultural activist with over twenty years of experience in photography, education, and independent publishing. I do not understand photography as decoration, but as language: something that must be read, edited, and, when necessary, questioned.
My work moves between photojournalism, documentary photography, and photographic education, always from a critical and cultural standpoint. I am interested in images that carry meaning, not just surface. Projects that speak of territory, memory, and social context, rather than visual noise.
I work fluently in both analog and digital photography, with a particular commitment to traditional and experimental photochemical processes. Keeping analog photography alive in the digital era is not nostalgia; it is a deliberate position against speed, excess, and the disappearance of photographic craft.
Professionally, I combine commissioned work with long-term cultural and educational projects. I photograph cultural and social events through Pocallum.cat, teach photography at Llumàtics and at the former Lomography Embassy Barcelona, and collaborate with community-based organizations in Nou Barris such as 9 Barris Imatge and 9 Barris Acull. I am interested in processes, not just results.
In late 2020, I founded 112 Books, a small independent publishing house dedicated to photobooks and photography-related publications. Beyond selling books, the project operates as an editorial workshop: I work with other photographers as a graphic editor, cutting, structuring, and shaping projects until they become coherent, readable, and publishable works. Not every image deserves to be printed. Editing is an act of responsibility.
My practice is driven by a simple conviction: images should not only be seen, but interpreted, challenged, and placed in context. Photography is not innocent. That is precisely why it matters.
