Joan Munro
Joan Munro established, and has been leading, the UK's Accelerating Innovation in Local Government Research Project since 2011.
She worked for the English Local Government Association Group until 2010, where she developed and led the Local Government Workforce Strategy for seven years. As part of this role, she undertook research, and created support for councils, in areas such as: cultural change; organisational redesign; increasing organisational productivity; and improving employee engagement.
Prior to her national work, Joan worked for many years as a senior manager in public services, primarily in local government, in a range of different roles and settings.
Joan has a Masters in Innovation, Creativity and Leadership and a Masters in Organisational Development.
She's based in London, UK.
