I am originally from Washington, DC - a real Washingtonian - smile. So, I love the hustle and bustle of city life. One can get lost in the city full of people. Plus, they have mass transportation!!! One does not need to have a vehicle to get around.

I am proud to be a coda (Child of Deaf Adults), my parents taught me well - I would not be who I am without their guidance and love. Because of my parents and other relatives who were/are Deaf - I became a sign language interpreter. I started interpreting the family funerals at the age of 14 years old. I then took interpreter training classes at Gallaudet in the early 70s under the National Interpreter Training Consortium. I received my CSC certification from the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) December, 1977. Damn, I am older than dirt!!!! Been licensed in NC since 2005 (when licensure was enacted). Since 2005, I have been happily employed with Sorenson Video Relay Services and I love the idea of not having to drive hither and yon to provide interpreting services like I have since 1983 (when I moved to NC) and now the people COME to me!!!!

I have also been implanted with a Implantable Cardioconverter Device (ICD) on August 7, 2007 after experiencing a syncope (passing out while driving) and wrecking my car. The doctors seems to think that my heart stopped because of an arrythmia or Long QT Syndrome and that the air bag in the car acted as a defibrillator - no one really knows for sure since I was out and no one was with me.

I thought this description of a VIRGO - The One that Waits - describes me to a tee!!!! I like to be dominant in relationships (ask Rick and Kaytee). I definately always wants the last word. I am caring. I can be a smart ass. I am truly loud. I am very loyal. I think I am easy to talk to. I am easy to please. Definately a pushover. I loves to gamble and take chances - that is why I never go to a casino cause I will risk everything and I don't look good in a barrell. I need to have the last say in everything. I know I everything. I am respectful to others but you will quickly lose their respect if you do something untrustworthy towards them and never regain respect. The do not forgive and never forget - ask anyone who has been shunned by me. The one and only - thank God!!!!!!!!!!
