As a lead consultant and project manager, Mrs. King has designed and executed several initiatives in the Trinidad and Tobago Public Service.
Mrs. King designed a new Merit-Based Promotion System for the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) for all Second Division Officers, under the Ministry of National Security, to identify and promote the most suitable officers to leadership positions.Mrs. King conducts promotion assessments for the ranks of constable, corporal and sergeant. The assessments, which are designed to immerse candidates in real-life policing and managerial situations, include case studies specially designed for the unique context of the TTPS. The assessment exercise is preceded by a training workshop to educate and brief the officers in the assessment process. Over 2,500 officers have been assessed, and nearly 1,000 officers have been promoted to date. Mrs. King has just completed the fourth cycle of the promotion process.
Mrs. King was responsible for the recruitment, assessment, selection and training of staff for TTConnect Service Centre Initiative on behalf of the Ministry of Public Administration. Mrs. King designed the assessment process for candidates including psychometric testing and the creation of work sample tests including in-tray exercises, group exercises and role play.
