Joanna Michna

Joanna Michna is currently majoring in Accounting at Texas Tech University- Rawls Business College. She plans on graduating with a Master of Science in Administration in Accounting. After completing her degree plan, she would like to work for a firm, such as, Ernst and Young. There are many different opportunities around the world at Ernst and Young, and she believes that Ernst and Young will be a great company to help build her business network. One of the main reasons she chose to major in accounting is because of the wide range of places and people she could have the opportunity to work for.

Afterworking for a large accounting firm for a couple of years, she is aiming on starting her own non-profit accounting firm. She would like her firm to be a community-serving organization, so she can help strengthen the other businesses in her community, and help families that are struggling with balancing their finances. At Texas Tech University- Rawls Business College, she may decide to add a minor in finance, which would be a great addition to her accounting degree for her future business; however, she still has not decided on what minor to pursue.
