Joanne Borges

Joanne Borges is a member of the Ontario College of Teachers and has been an elementary classroom educator for over 20 years teaching all grades K-8. Most recently, she has worked as a system Connected Technology Teacher assisting in the integration of educational technology for deeper learning and student success in Limestone District School Board, and as an educational consultant with Fair Chance Learning and Microsoft in the Classroom. Areas of expertise include professional development for educators in classroom integration of technology and pedagogy, digital citizenship, BYOD, social media and digital literacy as school cultures shift towards modern learning environments. Joanne is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario and has a Master’s of Education degree focussed on technology integration for sustainable change from Queen’s University. Joanne is a Microsoft Innovative Expert Trainer and works with school boards across Canada to assist in creating modern contemporary learning environments.
