Joanne Falinski

A certified school administrator and supervisor, Joanne Falinski serves as Academic Leader for Fahari Academy Charter School in Brooklyn, New York. In her role, Dr. Falinski oversees the design and implementation of academic programs for students, and also hires and trains new staff members. In addition to her educational leadership at the school, Joanne Falinski serves as a board member for the National Association for Constructivist Teaching.
An active contributor to her field, Dr. Falinski has presented her work on emergent digital literacy for a variety of professional organizations, including the American Educational Research Association, Association for Constructivist Teaching, National Association for Media Literacy Education, and National Council of Teachers of English. Furthermore, her research work on pre-service teaching candidates has appeared in Excelsior: Leadership in Teaching and Learning.
Joanne Falinski began developing the foundation for her career at the State University of New York at Oneonta, where she graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with high honors. Dr. Falinski received her PhD in Educational Administration from Syracuse University.
When not attending to her professional responsibilities, Dr. Falinski engages in a variety of charitable endeavors. She donates to both the Graymoor Spiritual Life Center in Garrison, New York, and the Peekskill Museum in Peekskill, New York. Additionally, Dr. Falinski contributes to the Peekskill City Schools Education Foundation.
