Joanne Matousek

Joanne Matousek currently serves as a partner at the law firm of Tressler LLP in Chicago. Since joining the firm in 2009, Ms. Matousek has helped represent excess and primary insurers in non-litigation and litigation matters related to various insurance claims. She also helps manage associates of various levels and generates requests for proposals for new insurance claims. Joanne Matousek also uses her two and a half decades of practicing law to leverage relationships into supporting the firm's business development activities. Before this position, Ms. Matousek served for 10 years as a partner at the law firm of Duane Morris in Chicago. As a partner, she drafted insurance policies, helped in drafting claims handling procedures, and represented insurance companies and banks in litigation and non-litigation matters.

Joanne Matousek has also worked at the Chicago law firms of Mandel, Menkes and Blatt, Hammesfahr, & Eaton. Ms. Matousek began her legal career in 1987 at the Chicago based law firm Peterson & Ross, where as an Associate she focused on insurance defense litigation. She also worked on cases regarding professional liability, environmental issues, fidelity claims, and general commercial disputes. In 1993, Matousek was promoted to Hiring Partner and led the firm's recruiting and interviewing activities. Joanne Matousek earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Managerial Marketing from Syracuse University in 1984 and received her Juris Doctor from Notre Dame Law School in South Bend, Indiana, in 1987. Ms. Matousek is a member of the Professional Liability Underwriting Society and is featured in the Continental Who's Who.
