Joan Rose

I was born in NewPortNews, Va. in 1942. A year later my Dad got out of the Navy and I went to Elberton, Ga. where I lived with my Grandparents. My Brother was born in Elberton.

We had a wonderful life there. Our Grandparents were the best. We loved them very much.

Our Dad got married again when I was in the 1st grade. Our stepmother was a great Mother.

We moved a house up the street on Tusten Street.

I went to Elbert County High and graduated in 1960. What a great school. I have a lot of great memories of those days. My friends and the teachers. It was so much fun and a lot of studying. It all payed off later in life.

I went to college at Bessie Tift College and studied nursing.

In 1964 I got married and had 3 children. Tracy is my oldest followed by Willie, my son and Wendy my youngest. I am a very proud mother and now a grandmother and great-grand mother. wow-how times fly by.

I now live in San Diego, Ca. It is now 2012 and I am 70 years young. Ha Ha

I have a great life and love San Diego.
