João Azevedo

Joao began in 1998 doing live sound as a Front Of House mixer in a nightclub in matosinhos “Estado Novo” and after all that time he still continues to do live sound as a freelancer. Also he has worked for the following companies:
- Showforce (Middle East and Global) as a grade A sound engineer for a Job at the Qatar National Convention Center (QNCC)
- F-Som (Portugal) as a FOH engineer on Exponor and other venues
- MegaEnsaio (Portugal) as a monitor engineer for several bands.
In 2002, along with two business partners he built, from ground up, his recording studio “Input Studio” (with the acoustic design made by Phillip Newel).
From 2002 to 2013, he worked on several projects from music groups, to voice acting/prompts, foleys, sound design and post-production in audio.
In 2009, João enrolled himself in music technology course (PTM – produção e tecnologias da musica/production and music technology) at ESMAE (escolar superior de musica, artes e espectaculo/ Superior school of Music, Arts and Show).
During that time João was voted president of the students board of ESMAE in 2012.
He was the first to produce audio recording and mixing tutorials in Portuguese (from Portugal). Fact, that made the audio production magazine (produção audio) do a report on him.
As João concluded his course, he won an professional internship in ISCAP (Instituto Superior de Contabilidade e Administração do Porto/ Institute of Accounting and Administration of Porto) in which he provided technical support to the technical and administrative activities of the Multimedia and audiovisuals resources operating unit of ISCAP as an AV operator
In August of 2012, João was invited by “Eyes on You” (a band promoting and media report agency) to work with them as their technical director that was in charge of every technicalities concerning live music events. In September of 2012, he was invited to be a technical collaborator to Balcony Tv
