Over the past seven years in my capacity as Assistant Director and Assistant Dean of Admissions, I have reviewed thousandsof applications, built an extensive professional network across various institutions of higher education, and have counseled both students and parents through the sometimes complex and ever-changing college application and financial aid process.

I strongly believe that my professional experiences have prepared me well to both (1) illuminate prospective students about the idea and importance of fit and (2) thoroughly navigate families through the various stages of the search, application, and decision making process.

It is my personal mission to introduce the concepts of intellectual curiosity, love of learning, and civic engagement to the dialogue of first generation and/or under-represented students as they begin to consider suitable institutions of higher education. It is imperative that students not only understand the process of applying, but also consider the academic, social, and personal discovery that truly exists within the hallowed halls of colleges and universities across the nation.

When I think back to my own process as a pseudo-first generation college student, I am always reminded of the transformative nature of the college experience. I am motivated to educate and inspire students to reach
their post-secondary educational goals. In many ways this has become my passion because I understand the reverberating effect that college has had on my own life.
