Police & Community Outreach
Sparked by the recent shooting in Ferguson, MO by Officer Darren Wilson, the group Police & Community Outreach was founded. The states & federal gov't. should be funding police departments for the purpose of community outreach and education about how the police protect and serve. Gatherings where police and citizens (especially children) socialize and get to know each other. When you know someone and get to like/respect them, there is less distrust and fear of them. THAT is what the white house and community leaders should be doing instead of taking sides for politial gain and power. Mock ride alongs (so no one who rides is in danger) would be good and just going with the police to call on businesses and the public for community outreach and relations would help bridge the gap between police and citizens. Special programs and tours of police headquarters (especially for children) would be great! We will appoint representatives to assist with this message such as political leaders, community groups, individuals and much more to go out into their local communities and distribute brochures, give talks, show people how to set up programs for police & community interaction and much more ! This is the way to go instead of taking sides. In the meantime to help this great cause a fundraising site has been created! Please donate what you can to this great non-profit cause!! Please report/SHARE this important news and where people can donate.
