Job Roden has served as an immigration and law enforcement professional for many years. He most recently held the position of supervisory special agent for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Brunswick, Georgia. Working in an educational and training role, Job Roden created lesson plans and taught future law enforcement agents until his retirement in 2005.
Job Roden joined DHS following eight years as a special agent for immigration with the U.S. Department of Justice. Responsible for a task force assigned to combat violent gangs, he co-created a book to help agents identify different gangs. The success of the book led to its distribution among other government agencies.
Previously assigned as a criminal investigator for the U.S. Department of Justice's immigration department, Mr. Roden looked into multiple cases of alleged criminal activity. He accepted this role following service as an agent of the U.S. Border Patrol, where he evaluated potential illegal actions by and regarding foreign nationals.
Mr. Roden began working in this capacity after completing his training at the Border Patrol Academy. The recipient of numerous awards from the academy, he graduated fifth in his class of 30 candidates.
