Hello, My name is Jodie and i am a Freelance Fashion PR and Events specialist, working for some of the most prestigious PR companies in the UK who look after clients including Christopher Kane and Felder Felder.

My interest in fashion stems back to my school years. Unable to even turn on a sewing machine in textiles, or draw stick man in art class certainly eliminated a career as a designer. However, an encyclopaedic knowledge of trends and designers, (bordering on scary) obsession with all things celebrity and ability to talk myself out of anything definitely pointed towards a career in Fashion PR and Events.

Studying Writing Fashion and Culture at Southampton Solent University, has not only further deepened my interest in fashion, but also expanded the scope of my knowledge in all its areas, in particular the media.With a particular focus on journalistic writing, I have gained experience in blogging and writing for both print and online press, giving me an invaluable advantage in the PR industry: knowing how the fashion media works. Interning for London’s most successful Fashion PR agencies, as well as assisting at many world-renowned shows during various London Fashion Weeks, has also allowed me to gain valuable insight into the fast paced world of fashion PR, including the hard work and expert networking skills needed to gain industry contacts.

Upon graduating this year, I plan to make the move from Southampton to the ‘big smoke’ to continue my exciting journey in the fashion industry.
