Let me introduce myself. I'm Jodie, the founder, and designer of iland co.

iland co. is an Australia resort wear label

iland co. was founded back in early 2014 when I was living in Dubai, U.A.E with my husband and 2 young children (my youngest was actually born in Dubai - now THAT is an interesting story for another time!) .

The concept of iland co. came to me when I was a family holiday in Sri Lanka.

I love wearing comfortable but feminine floaty clothes without having to think too much about putting an outfit together.

I loved the effortless ease that travel wear offered, but I wanted to create something a different to the usual embellished kaftans that seemed to dominate all things ‘resort wear’.

I wanted to bring holiday wear to everyday life. Pieces that you could wear all year round, that made you feel like you were on vacation.

My signature design and best selling piece is style my kimono (or kaftan as some people call them). These are one-size-fits-all and a come in 3 different lengths. They are actually a fusion between the Middle Eastern Abaya or Bisht, and a Western take on a modern day kimono. I was living in the Middle East as an Australian expat, I when iland co. I was exposed to lots of different cultures, and many beautiful fabrics.

Since launching the online store in April 2014, the iland co. brand has shifted it’s headquarters back to Sydney, Australia, however we still manufacture many of our garments there.
