In 2002, I left Canada to travel the world as a documentary photographer, intent on capturing the beauty of everyday life. Eleven years later, I arrived in Portland, Oregon. Holding constant that artistic tenet – making the everyday beautiful – I now design and make functional art, in the form of contemporary furniture and home accents.

Maker.
Jodi has spent her life constantly learning and making. Fine woodworking, photography, silversmithing, drawing, ceramics, pottery, videography, cheesemaking, leatherworking, laser cutting, jewelry making, and CNC technology are only some of the areas she has learned. She, like the average maker, has a constant desire to learn and improve.

Instructor.
Jodi spent 7 years as an instructor. She started her teaching career at the University of Winnipeg, moved abroad after 2 years, spent 4 years in Asia teaching students of all ages, and spent the last year of her teaching career in the United Arab Emirates at Abu Dhabi University.

Photographer.
Jodi spent 11 years travelling and documenting the lives of people through the lens of her camera. She hopes her photographs will serve to inspire, motivate and educate.
