Jody Scheiman
A successful investment manager, Jody Scheiman has an impressive history of overseeing the assets of high-net-worth investors. Her professional resume parallels an equally compelling record of service to her community. Jody Scheiman devotes much of her time to causes that are important to the community, as well as causes that are close to her heart.
Jody Scheiman’s extensive community involvement began in 1981, when she joined the Board of Trustees for the Columbus Zoo in Ohio. In 1987, Mrs. Scheiman offered her time and skills to BalletMet, the premier dance company in Columbus, becoming involved in the “International Night” fundraiser. In 1991, Jody Scheiman sat on the Board of Trustees for Marburn Academy, a school in Columbus for children with learning differences.
Beginning in the late 1980s, Jody Scheiman expanded the scope of her community activity. From 1988 to 2003, Jody Scheiman served on the Board of Trustees of Temple Israel in Columbus. From 1991 to 1998, Mrs. Scheiman sat on the Board of Trustees for the Business & Professional Women’s Council of the United Jewish Appeal New York.
From 1988 to the present, Jody Scheiman has worked concurrently with numerous organizations relating to public health, the arts, and the Jewish community. Mrs. Scheiman was on the Board of Trustees for the Union of American Hebrew Congregations, and she currently sits on the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees for Hillel: The Foundation for Jewish Campus Life. She also sits on the Board of Overseers for the Hebrew Union College - Jewish Institute of Religion, where she began her service in 1996.
In 1992, Jody Scheiman joined the Board of Trustees for the Columbus Symphony Orchestra, leaving in 2000. Shortly thereafter, Mrs. Scheiman cofounded the Women’s Fund of Central Ohio, where she currently serves on the Executive Committee as Vice President. Jody Scheiman is also Vice President of the Board of Trustees for the Columbus AIDS Task Force and is on the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees for the Columbus College of Art & Design.
