Joe Cook

I’ve had the opportunity to work across a variety of fields: rugged mobile handheld computers, precision agriculture, autonomous (self-driving) navigation, BAIID (breath analyzer ignition interlock) technology in vehicles, General Aviation avionics, and most recently, self-driving vehicles at Zoox and, in recent years, at John Deere. I’m currently based in the Iowa City, Iowa area, focusing on C/C++ development in embedded Linux ARM environments. Throughout my career, I’ve worked both on-site and remotely as part of dynamic distributed teams using agile software methodologies. Sococo played a significant role in that experience, and today I fully embrace distributed teams with an Agile mindset—it’s truly refreshing.
