I am a non-fiction writer with three books already on the shelf:

THE POLITICS OF BETRAYAL: Diary of a Kenyan Legislator;DASH BEFORE DUSK, A Slave Descendant's Journey in Freedom, an autobiography; and The Wretched Africans, a narrative of the 19th century slave trade in Eastern Africa.

My background is in journalism, I have worked in newspapers in Kenya and Tanzania; was a news correspondent for several overseas organisations; have been a broadcaster at the Voice of America, and for two years, I was the Managing Director of the Kenya Broadcasting Corporation.

I have also done other things. I worked in the Kenya Ministry of Foreign Affairs as Press Attache, Tourist Attache, Senior Assistant Secretary; Head of the Kenya Liaison Office in Namibia; and Deputy Chief of Protocol.

I joined politics and was elected to Parliament in 2002 for a five year term.

I am now a full time writer based in the United States.
