Joe Cascio

I've spent my entire career in software development. My last full-time job with a corporation was Chief Technology Officer with a cardiology image managment software startup. In that capacity I ran the advanced developement team doing pilot implementations of new product concepts.

When that company was sold, I semi-retired and got intensely interested in social media. I began by blogging and video-blogging. For me, it's been less a business interest than a way to meet intelligent, creative, and just plain nice people. I've been on Twitter since March 7, 2007 and it's really become a part of my life.

I'm currently developing three web service projects of my own conception in Python/Django. I am enjoying working on what I want to out of my own house.

I live on the Connecticut shoreline near Mystic (yes, there really is a Mystic Pizza). And in case the background picture didn't give you a hint, I'm an inveterate golfer who fulfilled a lifelong dream a few years ago.
