Joseph Chilcote
fter graduating from Emmaus High School in 1973 at the end of the Vietnam War. He attended HT-A schools (hull technician-repair
division) while serving before being assigned to a ship and after assignment,
deployed to the Western Pacific. Joe was honorably discharged at the end
of his enlistment.
After the military, Joe attended a local college taking courses on everything from
public speaking to electronic circuitry. He went on to graduate from the
institute of audio research in NYC for the Recording Arts & Sciences but
later found an interest in permanent and temporary, professional sound
reinforcement systems. In 1986, he started his own business simply called, "Chilcote Audio." Still operating today, his work involves large scale sound system design and installation, troubleshooting, repair and consulting. He became a specialist in systems for churches and universities.
Joe developed many talents and skills over the years. His most dominant gift is
that of voice. He became a professional vocalist over a 35 year period, the last five of which was studying the operatic tenor voice. He is now a humble
but very unique and professional talent, though he has no desire to sing for the metropolitan opera house. Rather, his focus and center is the
classical and contemporary Christian genera. Today he has a little side business
singing locally at wedding ceremonies, funerals, Christian retreats, retirement
homes and church services.
Over the past five years, Joe has been on fire for real estate investing. In 2007, he attended an intensive real estate investing course in Baltimore, Maryland. Joe then founded "Tri-County Home Solutions, LLC" where he rehabbed and sold two homes very successfully but ran into a snag with his open line of credit when Wells Fargo bought out Wachovia. Wachovia closed many businesses down by eliminating thousands of lines of credit. On that day, his investing fever was squelched but he'll never stop trying! Joe also operates a handyman buisinss called the Bear Creek Handyman JoeChilcote@Windsteam.net or 610-845-0296
