Joe Fernandez (dba JFR Motorsports) is a native Southern Californian. He currently resides and races out of Fontana, Ca.
Joe has always been an avid sports fan and has a history in competitive racing.
He raced competitively on the AMA Moto-Cross circuit across the country from 1990 to 1999. In 2002, he became involved in competitive bull riding. One to never turn down a challenge, he threw his all into the sport, despite the vigorous physical commitment and toll.
Being a long time race fan as well as his competitive nature only fueled his desire to race in the Stock Car Circuit.
In 2011, he founded Joe Fernandez Racing and soon began racing Pony Stock at the Orange Show Speedway. Early on he caught the attention of high profile sponsors such as Macco Collision Repair and Auto Painting and All-Star KIA of San Bernardino.
During his inaugural year in stock car racing, Joe finished 6 in points in a field of 26, overall for the season.
He also earned the coveted Rookie of the Year award!
During the 2012 season, Joe traveled to Rosamond, CA and raced at Willow Springs International Raceway.
Joe is looking forward to racing in the NASCAR Whelen All American Series at Irwindale Event Center during the 2013 season.
