Joe Hede

Leveraging more than 20 years of investment banking and financial management experience, Joe Hede is the co-founder and partner of the Norwalk, Connecticut-based venture capital firm Rocket Strategies. Prior to establishing the firm in 2018, Joe Hede worked as a senior managing director of both Roth Capital Partners and Paulson Investment Company, the latter of which he helped raise more than $100 million for micro-cap biotech companies.

Mr. Hede first began focusing on raising funds for private companies in 2006, when he was hired as senior managing director of Advanced Equities, through which he raised more than $500 million during a six-year period. He was also a member of the firm's Presidential Counsel for five consecutive years. Before that, he spent five years serving as a senior managing director with Wachovia Securities Network, where he managed $250 million in assets.

Joe Hede holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Monmouth College, where he was president of the Phi Kappa Psi fraternity and regularly organized fundraisers for the American Cancer Society. Today, Mr. Hede is a supporter of the Alzheimer's Foundation.
