Joe Keys

Hello I’m Joe. I am an alumni of Appalachian State University as of May 2018. I have numerous interests that allow me to relate and connect with people all over the country and world. As a Professional I have a strong interest in public relations. I currently utilize my public relation skills through a construction company where I have had to design flyers, stickers, company signs, and meet with potential clients to promote our brand. I have also had pr (public relation) opportunities with the men's basketball team at Appalachian State University. This experience taught me how to manage and produce social media content that would increase followers, likes, and views. I was surrounded by coaches and learned what it takes to gain new recruits and a solid fan support.

Casually, I would say I am an extrovert so I gain energy, momentum, and productivity when I am around co-workers, employers, clients, and new customers.

I played basketball at Appalachian State during my freshman and sophomore year. As I was experiencing life in Boone my college my priorities started changing and I have become an outdoor entrepreneur. There is nothing better than sipping a cup of coffee before I find a fast river in the mountains where I can use my fly rod. If I have the chance to go outside in the mountains, that is where you will find me. I'll be on the slopes, by a river, on some mountain bike trails or sitting by a camp fire playing my harmonica.

I am passionate about life. I believe we should live every moment to the fullest and not waste time with bad attitude or any negativity that might handicap true happiness. I was raised to work hard with integrity so my happiness comes from the success of my team and my brothers and sisters.
