Prior to my decision to go into the real estate business, I enjoyed a highly successful career as an entrepreneur. I have been part of a number of early ventures, the most successful of which was building a software company from three guys in a garage into a publicly traded company with offices around the globe, tens of millions in revenue and hundreds of employees. Earlier in my career I was a computer programmer and systems analyst for seven years, including several years as an IBM Systems Engineer. The first college graduate in my family, I put myself through school earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Washington University in Saint Louis, as well as a CPA certificate. I am honored to serve on the National Council of the Olin School of Business at Washington University. On a personal note, I am interested in many diverse areas including history, science, music and art. I have had the good fortune to travel extensively throughout the United States and around the world. All I can say is that the world is a very beautiful and interesting place, on every level.
