Joel Bergstein

Chicago, Illinois

For the last three years I have worked as a consultant with Accenture helping my clients solve complex problems. I have developed training programs ranging from new employee orientation to blended learning approaches for Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementations. I have worked close to home in the suburbs of Chicago and as far away as Scotland.

Before Accenture, I worked for ArcelorMittal at the largest integrated steel mill in North America. I worked with welders, iron workers, and machine operators as part of a massive capital project to upgrade our steel rolling equipment to produce steel for the Alaskan pipeline. Additionally, I implemented an electronic inspection system to transition their inspection routines from paper checksheets to a sustainable maintenance program.

When I'm not making small talk with TSA Security, you can find me exploring the national park system, relaxing at weekend music festivals, or participating in any of Chicago's great recreational sports leagues. I've been known to disappear into the wilderness with a sleeping bag and tent while getting as far away from a cell phone tower as possible.

I also volunteer with the amazing organization Back on My Feet which uses running to help community members change their personal outlook on life and find employment.
