Bonjour. My name is Joel Alan Gowen. I'm a born and raised Michigander, spending the majority of my life thus far in Ann Arbor, MI. My current plans are to study Creative Advertising at Michigan State University, where I will be a sophomore this coming year. It was tough to switch sides from being a lifelong Wolverine fan last year, but the East Lansing life is definitely growing on me. I spend most of my time either with friends/family, listening to music, drawing, and teaching myself photoshop and illustrator. Art and music are my hobbies, passions and escapes from stress, so they're definitely an important part of my life. Most of the things I create are inspired by musicians or a specific song. The background image on here is part of a poster I created recently. Posters and illustrations are what I'm drawn to and I plan on expanding my toolbox so that I can continue to take what I see in my head and spread it to other people to enjoy.
