Joel Chesler

As a high school social studies teacher in North Brunswick, New Jersey, Joel Chesler worked to help his students succeed in and out of the classroom. He earned several awards for teaching American history, government, politics, economics, and current events. Joel Chesler also served as an assistant coach for the softball team and swim team and as the faculty advisor for several student clubs.
In 2001, Joel Chesler became the assistant director of the Taubenslag Theater Company, a summer camp sponsored by Middlesex County College. He has held this position for nearly two decades. Additionally, he served for 12 years as the director of the Young Adult Drama Group, a summertime theater company.
Outside of the classroom, Joel Chesler loves to travel. After he retired from teaching, he took a 300-day road trip through the United States, visiting 39 states. Now ready for the next chapter of his life, he is looking forward to using the people skills he developed in nearly three decades in the classroom.
