Joel C. Johnson

As the managing member of Mineral Asset Development Petroleum, LLC, in Austin, TX, Joel C. Johnson’s main responsibilities include handling the day-to-day operations of the oil and gas company’s active oil fields as well as providing oil and gas exploration expertise to clients. In that capacity, Joel C. Johnson oversees the work of the landsmen and engineers exploring for new reservoirs using the latest 2D and 3D seismic imaging technology and the expert team in Austin reviewing and generating investment prospects.

Over his 37-year career, Mr. Johnson has served as a senior executive with many leading Texas oil and gas firms. Before assuming his current position, for five years he managed Diceros Asset Management, LLC, an investment consultancy, as president and CEO. He was earlier the chairman, president, and CEO of The TransGlobal Oil Company, another exploration and prospect-generating firm, and for 10 years before that, he ran Maverick Energy & Development Corp as the president and COO.

An engaged oil and gas professional, Mr. Johnson is an active member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, the Independent Petroleum Association of America, and other industry organizations.
