Joel Isaac Flake is an experienced software engineer and he has been working in the industry for more than 15 years. Joel Flake specializes in highly testable server-side software. He completed his B.S. Computer Sciences & Mathematics Minor in 2007 from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. He has worked with various organizations and software companies.

Joel Flake started his professional career in 2005 as an Assistant LAN Administrator at The Minnesota Daily. In 2009, he started working at Adknowledge, Inc. as a software engineer.

Joel Isaac Flake handled multiple responsibilities while working at the Big Fish Games as a software engineer. His responsibilities include documenting unknown and little understood application development environment configuration and instructed newly hired developers to drastically reduce onboarding time requirements.

In 2013, Joel Flake joined Stella & Dot as a software engineer. He was able to rescue a critical holiday release by writing a critical data conversion process from scratch during a high-pressure, no-sleep scenario in support of company sales promotions.
