Joel Lewis Nwokorie is a Medical Laboratory Scientist, holding a BMLS from Imo State University, who is driven by a conviction that the most meaningful change happens where healthcare, faith, and leadership development converge. His career and personal mission are dedicated to healing, mentoring, and empowering others to unlock their full potential.
His professional roots are in diagnostic medicine, a field where meticulous accuracy directly saves lives. This technical foundation was solidified during his internship at the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital, Ituku-Ozalla, Enugu. While he is deeply passionate about the science behind the scenes, his focus extends further into leadership and mentorship.
He had the privilege of serving as the National President (2022/2023) of the Fellowship of Christian Medical Laboratory Professionals — Students’ Arm (FCMLP—SA), where his role was to guide and support aspiring medical laboratory scientists nationwide. This experience cemented his commitment to youth empowerment, which he now channels in his current role as the Director of Teenage Development, Outreach, and Education Support, office of the Vice President— South East Region, National Youth Council of Nigeria.
He brings this mission to life through a few key initiatives:
· Globelove Missions – As Convener, he leads a movement that started as a gospel band and evolved into a full missions-driven organization. Through Globelove, they use music, humanitarian action, and faith to bring hope, most notably via the annual HEAL Rural Outreach that provides essential healthcare and educational support to underserved communities.
· Interns House Fellowship (UNTH, Ituku-Ozalla)– As a Co-Founder and Convener, he helped create a supportive community for medical interns, offering a space for spiritual growth and professional development during their demanding training period.
· Music & Creativity – He is a dedicated musician and songwriter, having written over a hundred original songs since 2016. He plays the guitar and uses music—a blend of gospel, country, and soul—to inspire. He also creates short-form content on platforms like TikTok and YouTube to encourage prayer, consistency, and faith in everyday life.
Outside of these roles, he is a thoughtful leader with a love for photography, and he firmly believes that investing in people is the most sustainable path to real transformation. His efforts in medicine, mentorship, and music are all guided by his Christian faith and the principle of Colossians 1:28: “Presenting every man perfect in Christ Jesus.”
His vision is straightforward: to raise leaders, impact communities, and share the love of Christ across all borders.
He is always eager to connect with fellow professionals, innovators, and leaders who are passionate about healthcare, youth empowerment, and creative ministry.
