Joel Moody

Joel Moody is currently in his third year as the Assistant Corps Director for the San Antonio, Texas-based Crossmen Drum and Bugle Corps. Prior to joining the Crossmen, Mr. Moody completed the Master of Public Administration degree with a focus on nonprofit management from the Askew School of Public Administration and Policy at Florida State University (2014). In addition, Joel is an accomplished Music Educator and Band Director, having taught in the public schools of Florida for 7 years.
Joel Moody earned a Bachelor of Music Education degree from the Florida State University (2001) as well as a Master of Music degree in Music and Human Learning from the University of Texas at Austin (2007). He completed some coursework towards a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Instrumental Conducting from the University of Miami (Florida). While attending the University of Texas, Mr. Moody was a teaching assistant for the University Bands.
As an educator, Joel Moody served as the Director of Bands (2007-2010) as well as the Associate Director of Bands (2002-2005) at Winter Park High School, a Central Florida public school. He was responsible for all components of the program and served as Chairman of the Performing Arts Department. His work earned him recognition from district and state administrators for his excellence in music education and teaching.
