Joel Nagel - Entrepreneur, Global Strategic Consultant, Lawyer, Diplomat

Joel Nagel is the expert you need to help you develop the best strategies for conducting business and protecting assets in foreign jurisdictions. With a lifetime of immersion in international law and global corporate markets, Joel is uniquely qualified to help you devise real-time schemes to position yourself for success on the global stage.

Joel Nagel received his L.L.M International Law and Taxation from the Georgetown University Law Center, after receiving his Juris Doctorate (JD) in 1989. He has studied and worked abroad, building the foundation of his global expertise in international trusts and offshore asset protection. Joel was a Fulbright Scholar in 1987 in Bonn, Germany and attended The Hague Academy of International Law.

After a domestic stint at the U.S. Department of Commerce, Chief Counsel’s Office for International Commerce for competition (anti-trust) law, he headed to the Commission of the European Communities in Brussels, where he served as a law clerk in the DG IV.

Nagel was then ready to become an international entrepreneur, launching his own law firm, Nagel & Associates, LLC. It was the first boutique law firm in Pennsylvania to focus on international legal structures and corporate strategy.

Nagel & Associates specializes in providing strategic advice to businesses seeking to conduct business or invest in projects abroad. Topics include immigration and citizenship issues, offshore investments, asset protection and estate planning, taxation, and structuring business ventures in international markets. As founder and managing partner of the law firm, Joel Nagel has expanded the reach and success of the firm in the international marketplace.

Drawing upon his international education and experience, Joel Nagel successfully assisted in major investment projects abroad. One example is the development of a large-scale resort development in Nicaragua. Another is the opening of the first-ever US bus line distribution facilities in Central America and Africa. Both projects are flourishing and returning good results for their investors. The resort in Nicaragua has proven to be popular with U.S. expatriates looking for the best place to live in Central America.

Joel Nagel also has diplomatic experience. He was the Belizean Ambassador to the United Nations, as well as to the countries of Austria, Croatia and Slovenia.
