Graduating with his commerce degree from Vanier College in Canada in 1992, Joel Tovel later went on to pursue his BA in marketing at Concordia University. With more than 10 years of experience working in finance, Joel Tovel built his knowledge base in the field with several companies.
As a licensed relationship manager at the Bank of Montreal, Joel Tovel was responsible for daily branch activities at the bank. He also developed and designed branch marketing materials, and created team building events and incentive programs. Additionally, he opened new customer accounts and processed loans.
In 2008, Joel Tovel moved in a different direction by accepting a position with Nintendo of America, where he was a bilingual localization specialist. During his time with Nintendo, he successfully translated technical documents working in French and English as well as corrected the text found in various versions of Nintendo games. He was also responsible for identifying glitches, errors, and other problems with games after their release.
