Joe Mattaini

Joe Mattaini is a Director of Product Analysis in the Personal Insurance division at Liberty Mutual. He has been a part of the company’s Product Management department since 2007, beginning in the analyst development program and progressing through the analyst and management ranks.

Joe has been involved with a wide variety of state and countrywide projects, including a central role in the company’s annual planning process in 2011 and 2012. He first supported the analytical and technical tools for the department, interacting frequently with many external departments as well. The following year he coordinated the process for the department, working with senior management and stakeholders from across Personal Insurance to deliver an accurate, challenging, and achievable plan.

Joe has also supported more than 10 states since joining the State Management group in 2008. He has completed pricing reviews, product implementations, process improvements, and strategic initiatives across a wide variety of states.He has also developed proficiency with Excel and SAS EG and has effectively used large datasets to guide decision making and analysis.

Joe holds a BA in Economics from Boston College and is a Certified Property Casualty Underwriter. He is currently pursuing his Master of Business Administration at Babson College.
