Hi, my name is Joe Messerli. I’m a technology professional and writer based in Green Bay, WI.

As an insomniac who gets bored easily, my interests are numerous. They include biking, running, reading, Netflix-binging, fantasy football, movies, and almost any kind of sports. Some of my true passions are history, politics, and current events. These passions motivated me shortly after 9/11 to create a website called https://www.balancedpolitics.org/ which focused on covering the pros and cons of various issues at neutrally as possible. It accumulated over 10 million hits by 2012 when I regrettably sold the site. The new owners have kept all the original material but have loaded it up with annoying advertising.

My latest projects include a new lighter side website called https://politicallyincorrecthumor.com and my published novel The Vigilante Terrorists.

I’ve worked in the I.T. field for over 25 years, mostly in database administration and programming. I currently work for IGen, a startup software company. Previously, I’ve worked for companies such as Scio Health Analytics (4 years) and Zyquest Consulting (11 years). I’m certified in SQL Server, Oracle, Visual Basic, and Windows. I’ve done mostly SQL Server DBA work the past 20 years in the fuel and health care industries.
