Since October 2015, I´m in the position of the General Managing Director for University Sport Service Hamburg and thereby got back to my former workplace, after four years at the Freie Universität Berlin as the Director of the University Sport Service at the "International Network University".

After my studies and two year as a teacher at a vocational school in Cologne, I had been a member of the team of the „Hochschulport Hamburg" from 2003-2011, at that time responsible for elite sport consultancy, dual career management for student athletes at all HEI in Hamburg. Second main task had been event management, especially in the students‘ competition sport and public relation.

During this period, I was responsible for about 25 German university championships in 12 sports, a World University Championship (Beachvolleyball, 2008) and a European University Championship (Volleyball, 2009).

Since 1998, I´m involved in various national and international committees for the further development, quality management and political positioning of university sports as an integral part of university education.

By that activities I had the chance to extend my knowledge and my personal network throughout several positions at the German University Sport Federation (adh), the European Network of Academic Sports Services (ENAS), the European Athlete as Student Network (EAS), and the European University Sports Association (EUSA).

Within the scope of various lectureships (actually University of Applied Science Wismar) since 2004, I´m teaching in the theme complex marketing – brand development – event management.

So Sport is a central purpose in my life.

The development of sports-related concepts in mass, health and performance sport is, in addition to the political frame work on sports development at local, national and international level, an ongoing challenge.
