I am currently Head of Communications for Dundee United Football Club, one of Scotland’s largest football clubs who operate within the Scottish Premiership (SPFL).
My role includes developing the Club's strategic approach to communications covering extensive digital, video, audio and publication production alongside overseeing the press and media relationships. The strategic overview of the Club’s communication department 'Dundee United Media' where the main objectives are providing communications and interaction with existing and new supporters via the Club website, in house members’ exclusive subscription site ArabZONE, our eNewsletter system and social media channels is also within this remit.
Within the department I oversee two full time employees and several volunteers and report directly to the Board of Directors.
In my time at Dundee United, I have been involved in the planning, structure, implementation and operational success of ‘ArabZONE’ - the club’s very own in house subscription internet channel which has well over 1,000 members.
In December 2014 I succesfully implemented and promoted the 'Festive Hat Trick' package which successfully enhanced numbers and finance through the gates by offering discounted entry over three games against top opposition.
Fan engagement is an area of my role which I take very seriously and enhancing the match day experience for fans is a priority with many successful match day ideas being successful.
One of my passions is design and digital art and I am responsible for the creation and implementation of the majority of digital artwork that Dundee United produce including event flyers, website graphics and social media artwork.
My role requires working very closely with the Players and Management at the club and I have been fortunate to build many strong relationships.
