On , 2014 I declared my intention to run for the office of Commissioner of Berrien County Distric 3. Over the past 3.5 years, I’ve been on the BHAS Board of Education. During that time, I have had the pleasure to meet many county residents; and I feel there is an overwhelming need in Berrien County government for public servants to listen to the People’s voices. Public officials also must meet the needs of average Berrien County citizens. My goal is to be an advocate for the average taxpayer and to expose what goes on in Berrien County Government. With the citizens help I will represent public service and not self-service.

Campaign Platform
1. Control County Spending:
A. Address the widening gap in wages and benefits between those in the private and public sector pay up to
B. I will not support nepotism, patronage jobs, as an elected public official
2. Judicial System:
A. I support drug, alcohol, and incarceration prevention programs.
B. I will work with the judicial system and mental health experts to implement programs that work to treat drug and alcohol addiction especially for our youth.
3. Education:
A. I will support our community college.
To transition high school graduates into high-paying skilled careers
To provide a technology ready workforce for our community as a vital economic development resource
B. Help create a public service initiative to encourage our public officials to visit our high schools to educate our youth about Berrien County government, the political system, and students’ roles in it.
4 Honest And Open Government:
A. Listen to all of our citizens and act on their concerns.
B. Reform the public speaking section of open public meetings from 2 minutes to 5. . Taxpayers are entitled to address their government and should be welcomed, to voice their opinions.
C. the county has to operate as an open government county commissioners are not conducting very much county business in public, which is their responsibility
5. County Roads:
A. Improving our county roads is a top priority, The county needs to become innovative in bringing in money for roads. Instead of turning our roads into gravel roads like the count suggest.
