Joe Terpenning
Joe Terpenning, a certified orthotist, currently maintains a host of responsibilities in the Arlington, Virginia, area, including his duties as the owner of Infinite Technologies Orthotics and Prosthetics, the company he founded several years ago. Terpenning's venture works with patients to develop a comprehensive and long-term treatment plan, designed by practitioners with four decades of experience among them. Aside from overseeing operations at Infinite Technologies Orthotics and Prosthetics, Joe Terpenning serves as a Contracted Orthotist through Inova Health System and co-directs Eastern Cranial Affiliates, LLC, which maintains offices in Arlington, Virginia and in Clinton, Maryland. In addition, he has lent his talents to the Arlington Hospital Pediatric Outpatient Clinic since 2000.
To continue to stay abreast of the latest developments in the design and fitting of braces, specialized helmets, and other orthotic devices, Joe Terpenning holds membership in several professional organizations. He maintains affiliations with American Orthotic & Prosthetic Association, the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists, and the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics & Pedorthics. He also belongs to the Arlington County Chamber of Commerce and Orthotic and Prosthetic Political Action Network.
A recognized member of his profession, Joe Terpenning has authored several publications to advance his field. He contributed his piece entitled "Orthotic Cranioplasty: Material and Design Considerations" to the Journal of Prosthetics & Orthotics. He also investigated the viability of static orthotic cranioplasties as a nonsurgical way of addressing deformational plagiocephaly. He has presented these and other findings to his peers at symposia across the country. Joe Terpenning holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Siena College and completed his certification in orthotics at Northwestern University.
