Joey is an American pop recording artist, and entertainer. Born in Coconut Creek, Florida and raised in Southbury, Connecticut he began his career as a child actor landing roles in stage productions and print modeling. His Aunt is legendary screen actress Corinne Michaels who stared in the daytime soap opera "Days of Our Lives", and the American Western drama television series "Little House on the Prairie".
Joey began studying classical piano at the age of four and began performing in recitals and showcases around Connecticut. Throughout his early childhood he studied piano, acting, dance, violin and classical voice. His rigorous schedule soon became full of rehearsals, performances, auditions and school. He studied classical voice in New York with Marko Lampas, a graduate of The Juiliard School of Music and a student of the world-renowned Maria Callas. Growing up in the 90's teen pop era, he became greatly influenced by teen pop stars Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, and Christina Aguilera. He found a love for the stage, staring in productions of "The Pirates of Penzance", "A Midsummer Night's Dream", and "Cinderella" in and out of school.
Joey entered his freshman year of High School at Rumsey Hall private school. After school and on weekends Joey and his mother drove to New York City for acting, dancing and singing classes. After deciding to pursue a career in the entertainment industry, Joey and his mother drove to meet with famed talent agent Nancy Carson, the woman responsible for catapulting Britney Spears (as well as countless other child stars) into the spotlight. He auditioned and later signed with Nancy Carson and The Carson-Adler agency that year and began going on auditions for TV, broadway, commercials and began work on his debut single. When Joey was just 14 he auditioned for the Carnegie Hall All-American Youth Choir and was selected to join the choir in the summer of 2008. He also began volunteering with the Alzheimer's Association and sang the National Anthem at the XL Center in Hartford, CT to a crowd of over 8,000 people for the National Alzheimer's day.
In high school Joey began writing and recording music with Christy Thompson and Michael Patzig. Patzig who has produced for artists Michael Bolton, Celine Dion and Shania Twain originally heard Joey's demo from a family friend and immediately began working together. After school and on weekends Joey traveled to NYC to write with Christy and record with Michael.
