Hello! Is it me you're looking for? I'm Johan and I spend most of my time in South Africa, northwest Thailand and Sweden, documenting places and people for a new project to be launched in 2024.

I got involved with content, events and PR at the age of 14—making a fanzine and booking shows—later working as a journalist, localization tester, translator and copywriter. All in all, I've been creating content in English and Swedish for 25 years and have spent the last decade heading up comms teams and strategies.

My main titles have been content manager, head of content or content strategist. I've got a major in film, and wrote my thesis on storytelling, with minors in psychology and philosophy and a further specialization in content strategy. Lately, I've started feeling that I want to create more written work myself, rather than mainly being involved with the strategic side of things.

My film and writing work has been featured, or written about in The New York Times, The Guardian, The Atlantic, HuffPost, The Independent (as well as Sweden's biggest papers) and shown in places like Times Square, Istanbul Subway, embassies & consulates worldwide, art museums, and film festivals. I’ve been part of teams winning awards like “Storytelling: European Excellence”, “Content of the Year”, “The Great Communication Prize”, “Best Inspirational Film”, “Best Expression of Place Brand Identity”, “Placebrander of the Year”, and “Sustainability Communication of the Year”, et cetera, between 2015-23.
