Ever since I turned 20 cyber security has been my full-time vocation, so that's about eight years now. In that time I've done a number of things I'm very proud of, here's a short rundown of the top list:

Five years ago I founded Swedens first IT-Security Podcast. It's called Säkerhetspodcasten (literally "the security podcast" in Swedish) and it comes out 2-4 times a month and has done since then. Running the podcast has been extremely rewarding and interacting with our audience is fantastic, we constantly get questions from students wanting to get into the field, as well as older listeners for whom we've managed to make security a more accessible subject.

Three years ago I co-founded Assured, a boutique security consultancy focused on delivering cutting edge technical IT-security expertise to our clients. Running a company, hiring fantastic people, expanding our reach and keeping us on the forefront of cyber security has been a fantastic experience, and continues to be.

2018 will see the third annual iteration of the security conference I co-founded called SecurityFest. It is the first technical IT-Security conference on Swedens west coast, and it's been a total blast to organise. We have a heavy focus on including students in the discussion, and we've made sure that the conference works as a place for them to meet more senior security people and exchange ideas and experiences. Together with Andreas Lindh I co-founded Hackers Against Racism, which later became Security Without Borders after we teamed up with Claudio Guarnieri from Amnesty. The idea is simple - let's put security professionals who want to volunteer their time and expertise in contact with non-profits, journalists or individuals in exposed positions who can't afford to pay our regular rates.
