John Averill Jr
Real Estate Agent in Carrollton, Texas
I grew up in Massapequa, New York, a mostly quiet suburb, which is about 36 miles east of Manhattan. My early studies were in private schools and I pursued Business Administration later on in life.
After approximately two-dozen years overseeing high quality customer service in the Home Furnishings Textile Industry (fabrics, wallcoverings, lighting and furniture), I found myself at the end of a long career due to the "Great Recession" in 2010. That industry had diminished and employment opportunities disappeared.
This initiated a quest to reinvent myself, which became a process that would last several years. I developed and ran an unsuccessful startup business, but ultimately joined the ranks of Uber drivers in the DFW Metroplex (about 9000 square miles). In my first year I would drive all over the Metroplex logging 4000+ miles. This would later benefit me with my expanded knowledge of the diverse neighborhoods throughout the area.
I became a Real Estate agent to fulfill my desire to work with and help people, along with the benefit of enjoying a career that does not relegate me to being constrained to an office position.
My primary goal is to help people find the home they desire or to assist property owners that have come a crossroads where it is time to move on. On either side of the spectrum, my intent is to negotiate the best possible outcome for those I serve.
