John is an artist sculptor who has been working as a jeweller since 1994. During that time, he has been sculpting and desiging models for jewellers and clients across the globe and continues to do so with pride. Pride in workmanship is John's mantra and he gives credit to his mother for having instilled in him a passion for carving. As a child, John's mother would keep him occupied by having him carve with his father's old pocket knife, animals, cars, boats, totems and any number of things in big bars of Sunlight soap. John has honed his craft with classes in welding, machining, sand casting or foundry work as well as electronics, metal and wood working. His work and life experience have provided him with all the tools necessary to develop a different take on being an artist. He has worked in many disciplines, including; welder fitter, machinist, plasterer, plumber, home renovator, tinsmith, foundry man, luthier and of course jeweller.

In keeping up with technological advances in the jewellery industry John has added cad design to his list of qualifications. His aptitude for precision work is augmented by his command of Rhinoceros designing software. This enables clients to see what the project will look like before the piece is actually produced.
