John Furtado

My passion resides at the intersection of transportation and sustainability, whether it be designing more efficient vehicles, developing innovative solutions to energy challenges, or re-thinking our entire transportation system. A well-traveled native of the Pacific Northwest I am currently based in Portland, Oregon working as a Design Engineer at Daimler Trucks North America. I hold a MSc in Sustainable Technology from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden and a BSc in Vehicle Engineering and Plastics Engineering Technology. Between work, school, and adventure, my travels have taken me throughout the US, Europe, East Africa, and most recently South America. But I always end up returning home to the Pacific Northwest.
